Listed Below are ways you Can make Healthy Beginnings a part of your financial planning
Stocks, Securities & Real Estate
Gifts of appreciated assets can be gifted directly to Healthy Beginnings and can provide a significant tax benefit for you, while helping Healthy Beginnings provide services to mothers and their babies.
Retirement Plan Assets
Retirement accounts can be very inefficient to pass on to heirs because they are often exposed to income taxes and estate taxes. Yet many of these taxes can be avoided or reduced through a carefully planned charitable gift. A lifetime income can also be provided to a loved one before the asset is passed on to charity.
Wills & Bequests
Gifts through wills and bequests can provide an opportunity to direct gifts to Healthy Beginnings. There are multiple considerations in bequest arrangements along with important directives to include in your will. It is recommended to meet with an Attorney to discuss what is appropriate for you.
Gifts of life insurance can be a great way to give to Healthy Beginnings. You may either donate the life insurance policy or name the charity as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy. If you gift a paid-up policy you will be entitled to an income tax deduction equal to the lesser of the cash value of the policy or the total premiums paid if the charity is named owner and beneficiary of the policy. You may also gift a policy with existing premiums and the future gifts of payment of premiums will be tax deductible. You may also name the charity as the beneficiary of a policy; this provides a very generous gift with attractive tax benefits upon your death.
Charitable Trusts can be a great way to give to the organization using appreciated assets like stock, real estate or a business. A common trust is the Charitable Remainder Trust which uses appreciated assets to fund lifetime income for the life or lives of the donor and leave the remainder to Healthy Beginnings. There are also Charitable Remainder UniTrusts, Charitable Remainder Annuity Trusts, and Charitable Lead Trusts among others.
Charitable Gift Annuities (CGA)
