Dr. William Polzin, M.D.

Dr. William Polzin has served as the Volunteer Medical Director for Healthy Beginnings since 2003. Dr. Polzin is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine - his specialty. Currently, he is the Director of the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Good Samaritan and a staff physician in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. A native of Milwaukee, Dr. Polzin earned his degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1983. He served his internship, residency and fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Cincinnati, School of Medicine. In addition, he is a member of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, the American Medical Association, the Ohio State Medical Association, the Cincinnati Academy of Medicine, and the Cincinnati Obstetrical and Gynecological Society.

Donna Phelps, CMM

Donna Phelps joined the staff of Healthy Beginnings as the practice administrator and has served as our President since May, 2003. She brings with her 30 years of management experience in medicine and business. She is a Certified Medical Manager through the national Professional Association of Healthcare Office Managers (PAHCOM) and has served three terms as President for the local Cincinnati chapter. Donna attended the University of Cincinnati, majoring in Psychology and Interpersonal Relations. She has secured an Ohio State Real-estate License, a Life and Health Insurance License, was a Notary for the State of Ohio and completed the Dale Carnegie sales course. She adds to her credit, experience in medical and insurance sales. Donna served on the Executive Board as secretary for ‘A Caring Place Pregnancy Help Center’ where she was actively involved as a client educator for ten years and served as a facilitator for their parenting class. She is married with four children and twelve grandchildren who fill her life with joy.
